According to statistics, Taiwan imported 15,082 tons of stainless steel scraps in November, decreasing substantially from 26,000 tons in October. The average import prices were at NT$52,871/ton, up slightly by NT$71/ton from a month ago.
In October, the US was the largest stainless steel scrap exporter to Taiwan with 6,942 tons; Vietnam was the second largest one with 1,487 tons; Hong Kong was the third largest one with 1,002 tons.
In the first 11 months of this year, Taiwan's stainless steel scrap imports amounted to 270,000 tons, rising by 2% year on year.
